Films: The Toolbox Murders (1978)
Alias: None
Type: Natural
Location: Haunted home
Height/Weight: That of an average human.
Affiliation: Evil
Summary: Pity Vance. He loses the most dear thing to him, and suddenly, he's on the warpath on a conquest that has no reason to exist. We're not sure where the obsession with tools came from, though.
History: Long ago, Vance Kingsley lost his daughter Kathy to a car accident. Driven mad by this, he decided to not only kill anyone he believed was a sinner, but also kidnap anyone who might make for a good replacement for his daughter. Oh, and he's the owner of the apartment complex he kills at.
Notable Kills: All of them have a tool motif. Of nail guns, screwdrivers, and hammers, they say. Oh wait, they don't.
Final Fate: Eventually, Vance is confronted by his equally unhinged nephew, who stabs him to death with a kitchen knife. The nephew is killed in turn by the kidnapped would-be daughter when he attempts to claim her as his wife.
Powers/Abilities: None
Weakness: Anything conventional.
Scariness Factor: 3.5-Vance's outfit is hardly the most original thing, but his methods are. Honestly, you might want to keep a few locks on the toolshed you got in the garage. The ways they can kill are boundless.
Trivia: -According to the film, it was based on very real murders that occurred in 1967.
-There was going to be a sequel in 1986, but it was scrapped.
